1- Treat yourself to a spa day

Self-care is crucial on a weight loss journey, and what better way to pamper yourself than with a relaxing spa day?

Indulge in a massage, facial, or any other spa treatment to reward yourself for your hard work and dedication towards your weight loss goals.

Not only will it leave you feeling rejuvenated and refreshed, but it can also serve as a reminder of how far you’ve come on your journey.

2- Buy a new workout outfit

As you continue on your weight loss journey, you may notice that your clothes are starting to fit differently.

This can be a significant motivator, but it can also mean that you need some new workout gear!

Treat yourself to a new workout outfit as a reward for reaching a specific weight loss milestone.

Not only will it boost your confidence during workouts, but it can also serve as a reminder to keep pushing towards your goals.

3- Take a cooking class

Losing weight doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice delicious food.

In fact, learning how to cook healthier meals can be a fun and rewarding experience.

Consider signing up for a cooking class as a non-food reward for reaching a weight loss milestone.

Not only will you learn new skills in the kitchen, but you’ll also be able to continue making progress towards your weight loss goals while still enjoying delicious meals.

4- Treat yourself to a new hobby

Weight loss can often consume a lot of our time and energy, leaving little room for other interests and hobbies.

As a reward for reaching a specific weight loss milestone, consider picking up a new hobby or revisiting an old one.

This can help bring balance to your life and give you something enjoyable to look forward to outside of your weight loss journey.

5- Buy a new outfit

Purchasing new workout gear is one way to celebrate weight loss progress without reaching for snacks, but what about buying a new regular outfit?

If you’ve got an engagement coming up, or just want to treat yourself, consider buying a cute new top or a little black dress that’ll make you feel cute showing off your new curves!

6- Plan a mini getaway

A weekend away can be a great reward for reaching a weight loss milestone. It doesn’t have to be an extravagant trip, but just getting out of your everyday routine and exploring somewhere new can be rejuvenating and motivating.

Plus, it’s a perfect opportunity to try some new outdoor activities or sightseeing tours that will keep you active and help you continue on your weight loss journey.

7- Take a bubble bath

After weeks of hard work and dedication towards your weight loss goals, you deserve some relaxation time.

A bubble bath with candles and calming music can be the perfect way to unwind and reward yourself for all your efforts.

It’s a simple yet luxurious treat that will leave you feeling refreshed and recharged, ready to continue working towards your next milestone.

Pro Tip: Get some luxe bath bombs to transform your bathtub into a spa-like experience!

9- Get a pedicure

A pedicure is not only a great way to pamper yourself, but it also promotes self-care and helps boost confidence.

After all, when you feel good about your feet, you’re more likely to take care of them and continue staying active in order to maintain your weight loss progress.

Plus, who doesn’t love showing off their new sandals with freshly painted toes?

If you don’t want to spend the money on a professional pedicure at the nail salon, do your own pedicure at home!

This cute, pink pedicure kit comes with a callus remover, soaking salts and a soothing foot cream to help you feel like you’re at the spa!

10- Try a new workout class

If you’ve been sticking to the same exercise routine, it may be time to switch things up and try something new.

Sign up for a dance class, kickboxing session, or even a trampoline fitness class – anything that sounds fun and challenging at the same time.

Not only will it give you a chance to work out different muscle groups, but it will also alleviate any boredom or plateau you may be experiencing with your current routine.

Plus, who knows, you may find a new favorite way to stay active!

11- Buy a new book

Another great way to reward yourself for a job well done is by purchasing a new book to read.

Not only is reading a great way to relax and unwind after a long day, but it can also help improve your mental health and expand your knowledge.

Choose a book that aligns with your interests or goals, whether it’s self-help, fiction, or non-fiction.

Even better would be to pick up a new book that can help you further your weight loss goals.

I love “How Not To Diet” by Dr. Michael Greger.

(I’ve purchased the Kindle version, Paperback, AND the Audible version – it’s just that good!)

12- Get a massage

Another way to pamper yourself while staying on track with your weight loss goals is to book a massage.

Not only does it feel amazing and relieve tension in your muscles, but massages can also improve circulation and help reduce stress levels.

You can also opt for a more budget-friendly option by using a foam roller or massage ball at home.

Either way, taking the time to give your body some TLC will not only feel great, but it can also aid in muscle recovery and help prevent injuries.

13- Color in a coloring book

Adult coloring books can be such a fun way to relieve stress and take a little time out to relax.

They have become increasingly popular in recent years and for good reason – they stimulate the brain, improve focus, and can even help with anxiety and depression.

So why not treat yourself to a new coloring book and spend an evening coloring away?

It’s a great way to unwind while still staying on track with your weight loss journey.

Plus, you can hang up your finished masterpieces as motivation and a reminder to take time for yourself.

14- Watch the sunrise or sunset

Spending time out in nature can be incredibly calming and rejuvenating.

One of the best ways to do this is by watching the sunrise or sunset.

Not only does it give you a beautiful view to enjoy, but the quiet and peaceful atmosphere can also help reduce stress levels.

You can take a walk in your local park or just sit on your balcony – either way, taking a moment to appreciate the beauty of nature can be incredibly beneficial for your mental health.

15- Go stargazing

Keeping the trend of spending time in nature, you could also try stargazing on a clear night.

It’s a great way to disconnect from the world and just focus on the beauty of the night sky.

16- Try a hair mask

Self-care doesn’t have to be limited to just your physical and mental health – it can also include pampering yourself.

One way to do this is by applying a hair mask to your tresses!

Not only does it leave your locks looking shiny and healthy, but the act of massaging the product into your scalp can also relieve tension and promote relaxation.

This hair mask is all the rage right now – and it’s affordable!

17- Watch funny videos on YouTube

Another free non-food way to relax and have a good laugh is by watching funny videos on YouTube.

Whether it’s clips of your favorite comedian or viral animal videos, laughter can truly be the best medicine.

Plus, it’s a great way to take a break from the stressors of everyday life.

18- Buy yourself a new piece of jewelry

Sometimes, treating yourself to a new piece of jewelry can be just the reward you need for a job well done!

It doesn’t have to be expensive – even a simple bracelet or earrings can make you feel special and add a little sparkle to your day.

You could even opt for something with a meaning or symbol that holds significance to you, reminding you of your worth, strength, and resilience.

19- Buy an online class

Next, if you’ve been eyeing an online class or subscription – that’s an excellent idea as a non-food reward for losing some weight!

I’ve always been into the idea of being graceful, flexible, and able to do handstands and such.

And I stumbled upon a set of courses that I promised myself I’d buy if I lost weight.

When I lost weight I finally invested and it was so worth it!

The trainer is Karin Dimitrovova and she has courses on flexibility, inversions, alignment, and core strength.

(I’ve bought all of them and highly recommend them!)

20- Join a gym

Another non-food reward that can help you continue your weight loss journey and stay motivated is joining a gym.

Not only will it provide you with access to equipment and classes, but it also gives you the opportunity to meet like-minded individuals and form a supportive community.

Plus, working out in a group setting can be fun and challenging!

I know many people go to the gym for a few weeks in January then never again.

So I actually think a gym membership is a great idea after you’ve already started losing weight and have some consistency.

That way you know you won’t be wasting your money!

reward yourself for weight loss tips

21- Buy new shoes for working out

If jogging, running or walking are part of your weight loss journey, you may need new training shoes more often.

Meeting a weight loss goal is a great time to reward yourself with a new pair of shoes!

I’m a huge fan of Nike running shoes and these are the ones I got most recently.

I like them a lot and will likely buy a new pair once these wear out!

22- Get new headphones

Another nice weight loss reward is a new pair of headphones!

I don’t know about you, but I’m trash on the treadmill without my tunes.

Investing in a good pair of workout headphones can make all the difference in your motivation and performance.

Some popular options include wireless headphones like Apple AirPods, but you can find super inexpensive Bluetoothluetooth headphones Bluetooth and be good to go!

23- Get a new thermos

So as part of my morning routine, I always have a cup of water, then a cup of coffee just before settling into my other daily habits.

One thing that used to bug me was that I’d have to go to the kitchen to make my coffee before starting my routine.

Well, I got a great super-insulated thermos that keeps my coffee hot all night long.

So I make my coffee at night, sit it on my desk, then right after drinking my water in the morning, I already have piping-hot coffee ready to drink!

It’s been such a game changer for me, and I recommend getting one for yourself to celebrate your weight loss wins too!

24- Go to a movie

(Or stream at home!)

Sometimes all you need to do is relax and unwind after meeting a weight loss goal.

Why not treat yourself to a movie night?

Whether you go out to the theater or stay in and stream something on your favorite platform, it’s a great way to reward yourself for your hard work.

25- Visit a sauna

Sweat out those toxins and relax in a sauna!

Not only is it good for your skin, but saunas also have many health benefits like improving blood circulation and reducing stress.

Many gyms and fitness centers offer saunas as part of their amenities, so take advantage of it as a reward for your weight loss achievements.

26- Buy yourself flowers

Another simple but effective way to celebrate your weight loss successes is by treating yourself with a bouquet of fresh flowers.

Not only do they brighten up any room, but studies have shown that having fresh flowers around can also boost your mood and reduce stress.

Choose your favorite flowers or go for something new to add some color and positivity to your home.

27- Visit a salt room

Salt therapy, also known as halotherapy, has many benefits for both physical and mental health.

It involves spending time in a room filled with Himalayan salt crystals, which release negative ions and have antimicrobial properties that can help improve respiratory issues, skin conditions, and overall well-being.

Treat yourself to a session at a salt room as a reward for your hard work!

28- Buy a salt lamp

If you can’t afford a trip to a salt room, why not celebrate your good results with a himalayan salt lamp?

This is the one I have and I absolutely love it!

Back to that morning routine I mentioned earlier – I always light my salt lamp and do a little stretching/yoga and meditation to start my day as well.

I swear just having that soft, warm glow first thing in the morning makes a big difference.

Check it out now and see what you think!

29- Buy a new blender

Next, you could treat yourself to a new blender to celebrate how far you’ve come and also help you take your weight loss to the next level!

I know for me I wanted to get a Vitamix straight away when I first went plant-based for weight loss, but they can be pricey.

To me, it was unreasonable to invest that kind of money without knowing I’d be fully committed to the lifestyle.

But once I started losing weight and proved to myself that I’d be cooking consistently, I could justify making the investment. And it was SO worth it!

If it’s within your budget and you can reward yourself by purchasing a Vitamix, you won’t regret it.

I think I’ve had mine for about four years now and it’s still as strong as day one.

If you can’t buy the Vitamix just yet, another more affordable option is the NutriNinja.

I started with that one (I got it as a gift from my mother-in-law) and it works great – but it did stop working as well after about 1.5 years.

To be fair – I did repurchase ANOTHER NutriNinja before upgrading to the Vitamix because it IS a good blender.

But I’d recommend going straight to the Vitamix if you can.

It’ll save you money down the line, especially if you’re serious about what goes down in your kitchen!

30- Take a cooking class

Speaking of experimenting with new recipes, why not take it a step further and treat yourself to a cooking class?

Not only will you learn new techniques and recipes, but you’ll also have the opportunity to meet like-minded individuals who share your passion for healthy eating.

You can search for local cooking classes in your area or even try virtual cooking classes if that’s more convenient for you.

Either way, it’s a fun and educational way to continue your weight loss journey.

30- Schedule a photoshoot

Have you ever wanted professional photos taken but felt too scared to get in front of the camera because of your size?

I know I have and it feels horrible!

If you reach a major weight loss milestone, why not finally schedule that photoshoot you’ve been putting off for years?

You deserve to celebrate your progress and feel confident in your own skin.

Plus, having photos as a reminder of how far you’ve come can be incredibly motivating on days when you’re feeling discouraged.

Don’t let fear hold you back from capturing this special moment in your life!

31- Buy a fitness tracker

Investing in a fitness tracker can be a great tool for tracking your progress and staying motivated.

There are a variety of trackers on the market that range in price and features, so you can find one that fits your needs and budget.

Some trackers like the one I use even have built-in heart rate monitors and sleep trackers, giving you more insight into your overall health and wellness.

I feel almost naked if I don’t wear my tracker – it’s like a part of me now.

Get yourself one if you don’t already have one!

32- Buy a tracker band

If you already have a fitness tracker, why not get one or more cute wristbands for the tracker so you can wear it in style?

There are so many out on the market, but I’ll admit it’s not necessary and I don’t like to spend money on stuff just because.

They’re affordable enough, however, as a cute and fun little treat to celebrate a small weight loss victory.

Just a fun little option for a reward! 🙂

33- Find a new podcast or audio book

If you spend a lot of time exercising, listening to something entertaining or educational is a great way to make the most of your workout.

Consider finding a new podcast or audio book to listen to while you sweat it out at the gym or take a walk outside.

Not only will this make your workouts more enjoyable, but you’ll also expand your knowledge.

34- Buy new sports bras

This may not seem like a big deal or much of a treat, but as you slim down you certainly need to change your sports bras so that they fit and support you better.

Get yourself some new sports bras to properly support your girls while you exercise.

35- Sign up to run or walk a 5k with a friend

While celebrating weight loss with food isn’t the best idea, celebrating weight loss with a workout is!

Consider signing up with a friend or family member to participate in a 5k run or walk.

Not only will you have a fun event to look forward to, but having someone by your side will make the experience even more enjoyable.

36- Splurge on a nice pair of leggings

If you’re a fan of working out in leggings, treat yourself to a nice pair that will make you feel confident and stylish.

There are plenty of options available for all shapes and sizes, so don’t be afraid to splurge on a pair or seven!

This set of seven black tights is what I use because I workout so much and I like it because I have a nice, slimming, well-fitting pair of leggings at the ready every day (even if I don’t do laundry as often as I should!)

37- Take a day off work

Sometimes we need a break from the daily grind to really focus on our well-being. Consider taking a day off work to do something you enjoy or just rest as you celebrate your fitenss milestones!

This will not only give you a much-needed boost in your fitness journey but also allow you to recharge and de-stress. Plus, you deserve it!

38- Find a new workout buddy

Having a workout partner can be incredibly motivating and help keep you accountable on your fitness journey.

If you’re losing weight and seriously committed to a new healthier lifestyle, why not find a like-minded individual to join you on this journey?

Join a fitness class, ask a friend or coworker or even look for local meetup groups to find someone who shares your goals and interests.

40- Go to a concert

Is Beyonce or Mariah Carey coming to town and you’ve recently lost weight? BUY THE TICKETS.

(Well, even if you haven’t lost the weight if either of thost two comes to town – BUY THE TICKETS.)

Choose a design that represents your fitness goals or something that has personal meaning to you. It’s a unique and meaningful way to celebrate your progress and hard work.

42- Buy a new gym bag

Another great treat for a job well-done in the kitchen or the gym is a new gym bag. Not only is it functional, but it can also be a stylish accessory to help you feel confident and motivated during your workouts.

You’ll feel so good in your new body at the wellness retreat because you deserve it!

44- Upgrade your pots and pans

One of my favorite calorie-cutting lazy weight loss hacks is to stop cooking with oil.

But if you don’t have good non-stick cookware it can be easier said than done.

To celebrate your commitment to wellness and your body and making it this far, why not invest in some quality non-stick cookware?

Here’s my fave set.

45- Buy a new journal

Another great way to celebrate weight loss without snacking on fatty or sugary treats is to buy a new journal.

Use it to track your progress, write down your thoughts and reflections on your weight loss journey, and set new goals for yourself.

You can also use it as a gratitude journal, where you write down things you are thankful for each day. Focusing on the positive aspects of your life can help keep you motivated and in a positive mindset during your weight loss journey.

46- Cryotherapy

Have you ever heard of cryotherapy? It’s a popular wellness treatment where you expose your body to extreme cold temperatures (usually in a special chamber) for several minutes.

Proponents of cryotherapy claim that it can help with muscle recovery, pain relief, and even weight loss. While the evidence is still inconclusive, many people swear by its benefits and find it to be a unique and rejuvenating experience.

If you’re feeling adventurous, consider trying cryotherapy as a way to reward yourself for your weight loss efforts and give your body some extra TLC.

47- Buy a new fluffy bathrobe

There’s nothing like wrapping yourself in a soft, plush bathrobe after a nice shower or bath.

Investing in a new fluffy bathrobe can be a great way to pamper yourself and celebrate your weight loss accomplishments. Plus, it will make you feel cozy and comfortable while lounging around at home.

Consider purchasing one made from organic cotton or bamboo for an extra luxurious and eco-friendly touch. You deserve it!

49- Treat yourself to an acupuncture session

Reward your sore body with an acupuncture session after losing weight.

Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese practice that involves inserting thin needles into specific points on the body to promote healing and balance. It is believed to help with pain relief, stress reduction, and overall well-being.

If you have been working hard on your weight loss journey, treating yourself to an acupuncture session can help ease any muscle tension or discomfort you may be experiencing. Plus, it can be a relaxing and calming experience.

Just make sure to do your research and find a reputable and licensed acupuncturist for the best results.

50- Buy tickets to a comedy show

Laughter is a great way to boost your mood and relieve stress, making it a perfect reward for reaching your weight loss goals.

53- Buy a new yoga mat

I’ve been doing yoga, flexibility and handstand training for several years now and there’s only one brand of yoga mat I stand by – Manduka!

They can be a little pricey but they’re SO worth it.

The grip is insane (no slipping), and they last SO long!
They’re super thick too so if you have sore knees like I do, you’ll appreciate how much cushion you have.

I love them so much that I have several at this point – one in my car, one in my garage, and one in my office where I do yoga as part of my morning healthy rituals!

Check them out now and see if they fit your budget.

Here’s a guide to dressing your body even if you’re not stick-thin.

55- Clean out your closet

I don’t know about you, but when I was in the process of weight loss it was SO fun for me to go “shopping” in the back of my closet every few weeks as I got smaller.

Over the years as my size increased I would hold on to clothes that no longer fit because I knew deep down that one day I’d be able to wear them.

Then, as the years went by those clothes got pushed farther and farther back – until I actually lost weight!

I had SO much fun just rummaging through, being amazed at how clothes I hadn’t fit since 10-15 years prior would suddenly slide on with ease.

And it was just so uplifting to put new outfits together, try them on with different shoes and jewelry and celebrate how far I’d come.

Maybe you could consider something similar!

56- Get your hair done

Another cool way to celebrate losing weight is with a full makeover or at least getting your hair done!

One of the things that I noticed first when I lost weight was how much slimmer my face got.

I wanted a new look to compliment my new look!

It can be fun to reinvent yourself after losing some weight, so consider if there’s a style you always wanted to try but never had the confidence to pull it off!

57- Go on a relaxing walk

Walking is a simple and accessible form of exercise that can provide numerous physical and mental health benefits.

Not only does it help with weight loss, but taking a walk in nature or around your neighborhood can also be an excellent way to clear your mind and reduce stress levels.

So instead of reaching for a sugary snack, try going on a relaxing walk as a non-food reward for reaching a weight loss milestone.
